Rarely Seen in the Alliance Navy, the somewhat uncommon MC-70g is slowly being phased out of front-line use. The whole vessel is short and stubby, and its rather unorthodox over-and-under propulsion layout gives it an appearance quite diferent from its more modern sibling. Indeed, many of these were the first to be gutted out and refitted as mass-cargo ships once the New Republic.

This Mon Calamari Cruiser is the main battleship of 
 the Alliance fleet.  It is able to stand against
 an Imperial Star Destroyer due to its redundant 
 shielding and it manueverability.  Unlike the 
 other Mon Cal's the MC-80a has organic looking
 wings on both sides of the hull. It has been 
 rumored that the wings may hold additional 
 launch bays.

	One of the first contributions to the alliance
        was the MC80, a converted luxery liner.  It 
        gets its organic look due to all of the pods, 
        bumps, and bulges on its hull.  These ships 
        are so such valuable in combat due to there
        redundancy.  Compared to an imperial starship
        its size, it has 3 times as many shield
        generators. Even though this makes this
        difficult to service and maintain, it makes 
        them much more reliable.

The most prolific cruiser in the New republic-Alliance ranks, A MC-80d is the standard variant of the Calamari contribution to the war effor. It is the "older brother" of the MC-80 Ultima, having the same hull structure.

Developed soon after the Battle of Hoth and the last to be designed or converted, the MC-80m represents the Allian's strategy of "Hit and Fade" tactics, surprise attacks, and quick, efficient with drawls. Its sacrifice in size and armament is made up in its agility and durablity. The Mc-80m is often the first major capital starship present at a combt zone, dispatched at a moment's notice from the fleet.

The New Republic's military focus changed dramatically following the defeat of te Empire. They were now interested in maintaining their power rather than gaining it. Because of this the New Republic needed a much larger and deadly battleship. As a result the MC 90 was built, and was even larger than the Imperial Navy's Star Destroyers. Due to their great cost, the production of these vessels has been limited.

Equipment:CLOACKING SHIELD

This device is connected to the Mon Cals Deflectors shields so in order for them to be used, all deflectors shields must be powered down. Once up the shield makes the ship immune to all sensors. Enemy ships cannot see or detect the vessel. The MC100 also has equipment that allows Jedi on the ship to get around most of the device's effects. Thus allowing a Jedi Knight to command it perfectly.

Built after the Super Cruiser, this cruiser, which was even larger, was the answer to the Imperial SSD Mark II. The two ships are about the same size and have approximately the same weaponry. This ship is not something an Imperial ship smaller than SSD Mark I would want to tangle with. This Mon Cal is faster than an SSD by about 7%, however this has come at a great price. Some armor was sacrificed for the ships speed.

With only three of these cruisers made, Admiral Ackbar chooses this design for a flagship for the New Republic. The senators of the New Republic use this ship as a command ship for diplomatic missions and diplomatic meetings.
