The Defiance was part of the assault on the Empire's massive World devastators, but Ackbar did not serve as commander. Ackbar remained with the rebel leaders on Da Soocha V. After the attack, Ackbar once again led the New republic forces from the bridge of the Defiance, but only for a short time. Galactic Voyager

Class: MC90 Commander: Flagship of Admiral Ackbar
Built: Seven Years after Endor Destruction: Unknown

History:

After the success of the Defiance, the Mon Cals began working on another MC90 Cruiser, the Galactic Voyager. This ship was finished a little over a year after its sister ship, and is Ackbar's favorite ship in the New repulic fleet. One o its first major encounters was when Leia and Ackbar went to Anoth to rescue Anakin Solo from Imperial Ambassador Furgan. Both Furgan and his dreadnaught, the Vendetta, were destroyed. Two years later, the Galactic Voyager led the fleet to the Nal Hutta system, accompanying Princess Leia Organa Solo as she met with the crime lord Durga the Hutt. Above the planet Nar Shaddaa, the fleet broke into two "teams" (red team led by Ackbar, and Blue team led by General Wedge Antilles) and engaged in "war games." Antilles managed to beat Ackbar, even thouh the Galactic Voyager outgunned Antilles' frigates several times. Later, when the news of Durga's plan to build a superweapon (the darksaber) and Imperial Admiral Daala's attack on Yavin 4 came in, Ackbar led his fleet to aid the Jedi Academy. He arrived at Yavin only to find Daala's Super Star Destroyer, the Knight Hammer, was devastating the jungle moon. He kept Daala busy, even though the Knight Hammer was extremely powerul, while the Jedi fought on the ground. Then, when things looked worse, reinforcements arrived. Daala's reinforcements. A fleet of over twenty Victory Star Destroyers came out of hyperspace and began attacking Ackbar's fleet. Three of Ackbar's four gunships were destroyed, and the Galactic Voyager lost its shields, but luckily Jedi Knight Callista managed to single-handedly destroy the drive engines of the Knight Hammer. As the huge Super Star Destroyer plunged into Yavin's atmosphere, the rest of the New republic fleet arrived and helped Ackbar drive off the rest of Daala's forces. The Galactic Voyager may also have been a part of the fleet that came to the aid of Organa Solo in the Corellian system, after a rebellion had left the New Republic government there in ruins. What happened to the Galactic Voyager after this period is unknown.

Destruction: During Daala's assault on Calamari
Source(s): DA
History:

The MC90 Startide was under-construction at the time of the battle of Calamari. It was the only ship that survived the attack by the Imperial World Devastators. The Mon Cals continued to work on the vessel in the Calamari shipyards. Within a year, the ship was almost complete. When Admiral Daala attacked Calamari, she had the Imperial Star Destroyer Manticore hide behind Calamari's moon, and then would race toward the shipyards and destroy them. Admiral Ackbar (who was on Calamari's surface) recognized this as being one of Grand Moff Tarkin's old battle plans. He took control of the uncompleted Startide (via remote), and when the Manticore came out, he rammed it. The bulk of the Startide collided with the Manticore and destroyed the vessel, forcing Daala to retreat.

Class: MC90
Commander: Flagship of General Wedge Antilles
Built: After the second battle of Calamari
Destruction: Unknown
Source(s): TNR
History:

When General Wedge Antilles accompanied President Organa Solo to the planet Almania (in an attempt to stop the rogue Dark Jedi Kueller and save Jedi Master Skywalker), Wedge took his flagship, the MC90 Yavin. While Organa Solo went to the surface to find Skywalker, Kueller ordered three of his ships, Victory Star Destroyers, to attack the New Republic fleet. The ships, which were flown by droids, managed to destroy the MC80a Tatooine, and severely damage the Calamari. Wedge managed to figure out that the Victory ships were flown by droids, and ordered his gunners to shoot at the MC80a Calamari and the Corellian Action VI Wild Karrde. The droids on the Victory ships, thinking that the Yavin was one of their ships (since Wedge's actions were illogical for a New Republic commander), the Star Destroyers began flanking him. Then, Wedge ordered the Calamari and the Yavin to fire on the Star Destroyers, and they managed to destroy them. What happened to the Yavin after this period is unknown.
